This was taken at Jack Darling park August 7/09  - I wish I had known about this forum back then. I've looked and looke in books and on-line and it's difficult to be sure.

The bill is often useful for distinguishing between warblers and vireos, the latter having thicker and more rounded bills than warblers.  This bill here is stubbier than Red-eyed Vireo and the dark eye stripe and dark grey head rule out Warbling Vireo.  The faint yellow tinge on the breast is a good indication of Philadelphia Vireo.
