Hello,

I'm Rob...  and I am new here...  just joined up last night.  I am the other half of another new member "angieinto".

Anyways, Lambton Woods is minutes from us.  A place we both cherish.

I stopped in there on the way home from work this afternoon and saw/heard a few Song Sparrows.  I've missed that song.  Also, a number of Red Winged Blackbirds have returned.  Spring is here!

A few people I spoke with in my travel told me about an Owl near Dundas St. bridge.  One gent showed me some photos he got of her; but it's so hard to try to identify.  I'm gonna have to look more into this.  Anyone know more about her?

I do not know what kind of owl it is but I do know where it is.
The bird is not very cooperative as the 'gent with the photos' only sees it 1 out of 10 trips.
 
Is this Rob with the SX100IS?

Hey...  yes this is Rob with the SX100IS.  Would zed be John with the one year newer model?  The gent said the same thing to me today about one out of ten trips.

Welcome to the Board Rob & Angie.  You are so lucky to live near Lambton Woods.  I have never seen so many woodpeckers, nuthatches and creepers in one spot before.  I went for the first time a few weeks ago and will definitely make a return trip (it's more than a few minutes for me!)

Wow!  All the way from Oshawa just to come to Lambton Woods?  Cool!

Yes, quite the gathering of Woodpeckers for sure.  We saw 3 Brown Creepers one day...  what a sight!

You've got Cranberry Marsh which is much closer.  That's quite the place to visit as well, eh.
