A month ago I put up a suet feeder in my backyard. It took a while but eventually I was getting a nice assortment of visitors.
One of them was a mockingbird. He soon started chasing off other birds. I didn't mind at first because he was chasing off starlings and house sparrows, but now he chases off everything! I checked the Cornell web site and found out that mockingbirds aggressively defend their territory.
I've decided to take down the feeder for a few days to see if he will move on.
