A pair of house finches in my backyard (near High Park) Tuesday & yesterday.  I haven't seen them all winter--can I still count them as migrants or are they just a sign of spring?  Do we have a forum for signs of spring?

I can't answer your question but I can tell you that there were a few at Lambton Woods all winter.

I've had a couple of house finches and about 8 goldfinches all winter here in Brampton. The latter are looking pretty now, tho' somewhat patchy, in their spring outfits.
Interesting to see a robin on the back fence while a couple of juncos are still around. Grackles have moved in, also a couple of mourning doves - I wonder if it's the same pair as last year, they sit in the same spot.
About 2 dozen starlings did a quick fly in one day this week but left as quickly as they came.
Happy to se a GB heron fly over the local plaza yesterday.
Soon be in the Florida Panhandle (a new area for me) so looking forward to some great birding.
