Nice picture.

Thought to reply to this thread rather than start another.

I may be making my first trip to Amherst tomorrow (11/24) in preparation for further trips this winter. Mostly to familiarise myself with the Island. Is there anything I should know about parking/access/trails etc if I check out the woods and sanctuary?

Water proof boots and clothing I have :)
No, nothing other than what I can see on a map ( from the A.I. website) about its general location.

Thats one reason why I thought it might be a good idea if I have a free day, to go down there for the first time while weather is decent and before I go there later this winter when Im "hoping" for good results....not wanting to waste time finding places etc.

http://members.tripod.com/joey_2002-ivil/id1.html is the directions I followed the last time. Marshall Road wasn't signed the last time I was there.

Ferry is $6.00 return and leaves the mainland side on the half hour.
