Chimney Swift

This afternoon while walking along Kingston Rd just east of McCowan Rd in Scarborough, I looked up to see a lone Chimney Swift flying towards me. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was only about 50 feet above me and flying westward. It might be a local bird there as I've seen many in that area the last 2 seasons. This warm weather sure is messing things up...or this bird over-wintered, if that's possible.

Wow, that's exceptionally early!
You should post it to
chimneyswifts.org
. On their
map
(updated Saturday) there were no reports beyond North Carolina.
