this was my first time at Bluffers' Park. a very nice place!

I got there at 9:30 and was immediately greeted by the robin-on-caffeine call of an oriole.  I'm pretty certain they were baltimore orioles (going by the call and its belly colour). the first pair were in the coniferous trees near the washroom.
i saw another pair further west in the coniferous trees near the water.

then....silence until 11 AM.

the yellow warblers decided to come out and play. first, one lone warbler, then, by 12:30, i counted close to 20.

I also spotted (and photographed) two birds that may have been warbling vireos (ID to come).

at noon, the temperature dropped, which perhaps was the reason why the warblers suddenly appeared(?)

also saw some american goldfinches playing tag, and spotted one lone tern and one kingfisher
two birds, which i believe were brown thrashers, flew from the bluffs into the grass near the marsh. never seen a thrasher before but i'm pretty sure that's what I saw (looked like a rusty-coloured cardinal but a little bigger).

i was also entertained by what I assumed were frogs but they sounded like the smoke monster from Lost.
