I participated in your recent TFO walk at Oshawa Second Marsh and Darlington Prov. Pk and really enjoyed it.  I was wondering, given the forecast for this week, which day may be a good one to do some birding there.

Most days till early june the Oshawa Second marsh to Darlington provincial park should produce over 100 species per day. In terms of picking a certain day is a tough one. Best ones for warblers are ones where heavy rain events and/or strong north winds happen over night. This will ground the birds once they cross the lake.

For shorebirds they get grounded when flying into strong winds. best to stop and rest then burn off precious fat reserves.  BeACH At Darlington and mudflats in 2nd marsh are great on those days.  The mudflats in the 2nd marsh are getting covered with 2-6 inches of water from all the rain so with more rain forcast later this week, more of the mud will get covered.

Just looking at the forecast. tuesday look interesting sun then rain. Over night migrant flighton monday should be larger. with the clear skies and the incoming front may stop their advancing.
FYI Campground in Darlington P.P. has been alot of warblers, tanagers, sparrow this weekend. They are favoring the area protected from most wind area around the mid 200 campsites.
Enjoy the migration I will be out of town for the next few days working on Egrets.

Thank you for your reply. I think I might try Tuesday. It's encouraging to hear that any day until June could yield 100 species.
