I just recently got interested in Bird watching while in the tropics and had to recently move to Ontario 2 months ago. I would like to know good spots for birding and how to get help on bird identification. :|

First off get yourself a pair of bino's and a bird guide book. There are lots of field sizes that are easy to put in your pocket. 8 x 42 binos are good, if you wear eye glasses make sure the eye piece can roll down to get you eyes closer. I use 8 x 42 Bushnell Waterproof binos. A good birding spot is amherst island for owls & raptors. I am sure you will get other posts about equipment and locations. Presquile park, & point pelee provincal parks are also good spots. Silbey or patterson guides are widely available.
