If you love waxwings, they are hanging out on Beechwood and O'Connor in a group of 10-20.

There's a house on the west side of Beechwood - its the last house on the DVP side of Beechwood. the waxwings are in the large pine and are flying back and forth between the pine and a large and relatively leafless tree on the east side.
There's a house on the east side that has a fountain on its front lawn. All at once, the waxwings will land in the fountain and bathe.

There were some grackles and blue jays annoying the waxwings, but otherwise, you can easily hear them and, if you wait 5-10 minutes, you should be able to see them clearly when they fly to the east side of the street for a bath.

The cedar waxwings were still around Monday - lots of them.

Took a walk along the Don River heading north-ish. Saw the following:
yellow warbler - eating a caterpillar
eastern kingbird
lots of red-winged black birds
blue jays
cardinal
hairy woodpecker
song sparrow

too many bicyclists for much more than that.

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

The cedar waxwings (and the blue jays) are back in German Mills Park. No sign of the rose breasted grosbeak or the heron but I did hear (but didn't see) baltimore orioles and kingfishers.
