Where can I find pure suet (plain).

I guess I can post this question here since it has to do with backyard birding.  I use a pure suet cake in a feeder near my kitchen window.  The Woodpeckers love it, both the Downys and Hairys, but no other species 'cept the odd Chickadee.  So this suet is great for me.  It lasts quite a while.  I get some nice select birds right outside my window.  And I have very little in the way of bird droppings on my deck.

The problem is that there have been some changes at the border and shipments via Wild Birds Unlimited and other US companies have not been able to come through.  It's a silly problem with tariff numbers or something...  and should be temporary.  But it has been almost a month now.  Supplies are running out and now I cannot find pure suet anywhere.  It's not a popular type of suet, so it seems, and I have no luck in finding it at Walmart, Pet Valu or elsewhere I have looked.  The Canadian companies making suet seem to not do a pure one.

I have started buying other *flavors* of suet and with all the Sparrows, Starlings, Blackbirds and Grackles...  the cake is gone in mere hours, there are droppings all over the deck and now a few Pigeons are also hanging around below waiting for bits.  Another reason I like the pure suet as it does not crumble.

So, would anyone in the GTA happen to know of a place who might have a pure suet?

In the winter I smear bacon fat on the tree out back and the Woodpeckers enjoy that; but it's much too warm right now for such a thing.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Try a local meat store, they might have it.

You can make your own too:
