Although hawk watching wasn't as exciting as hoped for due to the windy conditions, it was a great birding day nonetheless. Birds seen included:

Wood Duck
Blue-Winged Teal
Pie-Billed Grebe
Mallards
Double-Crested Cormorant
GB Heron
Great Egret
Turkey Vulture
Bald Eagle (1st year)
Peregrine Falcon
Chimney Swift
RT Hummingbird
Least Flycatcher
Eastern Kingbird
Rough-Winged Swallow
BC Chickadee
Grey Catbird
Cedar Waxwing
Chestnut-Sided Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Black-Throated Blue Warbler
Black-Throated green Warbler
Black and White Warbler
Blackpoll Warbler
American Redstart
American Goldfinch
As well as the usual suspects of Robins, Starlings, Mourning Doves, and Grackles.

I have to say that some of these fall warblers present quite the challenge. Between fall plumage, females, and immature birds my head was spinning!! There were a few that we just couldn't confidently identify. I think I may have to pick up the Peterson guide covering warblers of North America and head back out. Any excuse :)
