Today I spent most of the day at Van Wagner's beach in Hamilton. There weren't any "huge highlights" but many new birds for me. The new birds for me have a star beside them.
Below is what I saw:
Sabine's Gulls *
Long-tailed Jaeger *
Parastic Jaeger *
White-winged Scoters (flock of 45) *
Osprey
Peregrine's
Red-shouldered or Tailed (I could only see the silhouette... no colours)
Lesser Blacked-back Gull
Sanderling's *
2 Great Blue Heron's
Teal's
A scope is MANDATORY for viewing here..... on a 20X60 scope many of the birds were small specks.
Good luck to anyone going this Fall. I might go back next Sunday, but certainly not next Saturday.
