Northern Shrike - Bluffers Park

Northern Shrike seen today at Bluffers Park. Also, on my walk back home, saw a small flock of Bohemian Waxwings.

I so want to see a Shrike this year.

Great signature there posting the TWC emergency phone number.  A number every wildlife admirer should have on hand.

Walter and I werre at Rosetta McClain Gardens just down the bluffs abit from Bluffers Park. We saw a raft of gulls all take flight and circle. This often means there is a large bird of prey around. We didnt immediately see anything but a few moments later we observed a juvenile Bald Eagle circling out over the lake. We had a reasonable binocular view. There was a few Redtails pass by,a Northern Harrier and a local Coopers Hawk. There was very little in the way of small birds,most certainly nothing special.

We want to do one of the Hawk watches this year, it sounds like an awesome thing to see.
