We had a dozen or more "winter" robins visit our heated bird bath for prolonged drinks - a first aside from a few singles visits

If they caught sight of this twice a day visitor they may never return. Hope not !! Last week the cooper's was seen on the ground under the staging bush with a sparrow in each talon.

Sweet pictures!! , my Dad was intrigued seeing the robins as our locals all are long gone...
and as per my post a few weeks past, when a hawk took 1 of our 12 mourning doves just as he swooped down onto the 5-6 that were resting close he had 2 in his clutches but 1 was strong enough to escape. Sadly he was injured a bit but we have not seen him since.

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress. Laugh, eat, be merry. Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.

Raven 11:11,
The robins returned yesterday but not today .
The hawk has been making passes all day - no birds or squirrels in sight since early morning - excepting for one mourning dove .
The feeders are full .
Thanks,
Jim
