Sue & I were in Waterloo Region recently and took the opportunity to visit the feeders at the home of Elmer and Bev Ewert just outside Waterloo.
Viewings of the Varied Thrush have been reported frequently on ONTBIRDS along with directions to their home.
We were very fortunate to see this lovely lady along with several other birds. Elmer was very kind to welcome us while we waited for her to appear.
Her routine is to view the feeders from the trees above

After some time she needs to eat

And finds some food

Other visitors are also present

It was a treat to view this visitor from the West.

Vince ... fantastic photos!  I'm debating whether #2 or #3 is my favourite.  :D

Wow at the Thrush!  Of course the Cardinal is always a looker in my eyes as well.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Great shots of the Thrush - congrats.  I drove to Bolton last year to see it but it stayed a good distance away from people.  These are lovely.

Sweet Varied Thrush shot. Never seen one before. Also, nice shot of a beautiful cardinal. I could never get a clean shot of a cardinal. They are so skittish.

Thanks for sharing
