Hi everyone. I was at Lake Aquitaine today between 9:15am - 4:15pm. Sighted the following birds:
Blue Jays x 4
Canada Geese x 15 - flying above lake, heading in a NW direction
Cardinals x 4 (2m, 2f)
Chickadees - lots
Cooper's Hawk - sitting on rooftop of my building then being dive bombed by Crows all around the lake throughout the day.
Crows x 5 - cawing up a storm most of the day due to above Cooper's Hawk.
Downy Woodpecker x 1 (f)
Goldfinches x 2 (1m, 1f)
Hairy Woodpecker x 1 (f)
House Sparrows - lots
Juncos x 2 (1m, 1f)
Mallards x 4 (2m, 2f)
Mockingbird x 1 - first sighted at North side of lake, later in day on the South side
Mourning Doves - lots
Red-breasted Nuthatches x 6
Robins x 9
Unknown Sparrow x 1
Interesting bird story: Around 11am, NW corner of lake ... Blue Jay imitating a Cooper's Hawk then imitating a gull.

The Cooper's Hawk was nearby, sitting on the rooftop of my building at the time.
Human sighting: Mario.

Mario ... it was great seeing and talking to you this afternoon. Thank You for pointing out the interesting Sparrow! (juv. White-throated?)
Crazy weather: When I first went out walking today, it was sunny and mild, felt like Spring! Then it clouded over and felt a bit chilly/damp then there was light snow then hail was bouncing off my head then it switched to a steady snowfall - has been coming down fairly heavy for the past hour!
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
