I spent an hour at Jack Darling this afternoon from 2:00-3:00 scanning the lake for wintering waterfoul. Sighted the following;
3 Gadwall, 30+ Mallards, 15-20 Redhead, 400+ Greater/Lesser Scaup, 1 male
Harlequin Duck

, 5 White-winged Scoter, 200+ Long-tailed Duck, 300+ Common Goldeneye, 100+ Bufflehead, 100+ Red-breasted Merganser, also seen were numerous Herring/Ring billed gulls and Canada Geese/Mute Swans
A great day for waterfoul, with the Harlequin as the lifer/highlight, I was very excited to see it!!!
Most of the waterfoul were in large rafts on the waterfront were located in the Northeast section of the park (from the parking lot, walk to the waterfront trail and turn left, then walk to the farthest "point" with the picnic bench, the large rafts of ducks are easily observed from there).
