At Bluffers Park today, saw a goose that was very out of place. Trying it hang with the Canada Geese, but definitely not blending in, was 1 lone white goose. My first instinct was that it was a Ross' goose, but I know the odds are better that it would be a Snow Goose. Wrong moment not to have my camera with me. Now that I have checked 5 different bird books, I am still leaning towards Ross' (high forehead, white with black primaries). Whether it is a Ross' or Snow, 1 of them is hanging out at Bluffers Park. Maybe someone else will be in the area today and might spot it.

Also noted lots of loudly singing cardinals, RW black bird, buffleheads, mallards and Mutes, and 17 trumpeters. Bluffers is just about always a guarantee for trumpeters in case anyone wants to see them up close. There is at least one nesting pair there each year.

What a beautiful day!
