The Town of Whitby parks department has placed a new gate at the entrance to the private road at the north side of Thickson's Woods. Parking will now be on Thickson's Road. A year ago the parks department designated the road as pedestrian and bikes only. Very few drivers obey the signs.
The main problems have been illegal dumping and nighttime activities.
