Birders, a group of residents is trying to fight approval of a 10,000(yes, ten THOUSAND) sq.ft., 5 (yes, FIVE) garage house on MineralSprings road in the Dundas Valley. The house is normally to beinhabited by only two people. If approved, the walls of the house willbe within 50m of the rail trail and within 200m of the brush habitat where Eastern Bluebirds, Blue-winged/Brewster's/Lawrence's Warblersand Red-bellied Woodpeckers have historically been found. Thepetitioners are also asking that future approvals of mega-houses notbe allowed in the valley.

If you would like to help stop approvals of this kind, you can sign anonline petition at: http://www.petitiononline.com/DVCA/petition.html

Thank you to anyone who helps out.

Likewise.
Thanks, Cody for bringing this to our attention.
If we who care about birds won't defend their habitat, who do we think will do it for us?
