Although I did not get shots of the Western Grebe this morning I did get some very cooperative Horned Grebes!

Grebe 1-not shy at all I even think he was trying to smile for the camera.

Grebe 2-Looking rather devilish with his horns.

just curious is there a reason there are so many of these guys this year?

Irene :)

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Thanks Clemens and Rob! I was hoping they would do their little "dance" but no such luck.

Really like # 1 too Irene - bird is nice and sharp and the water is good.

Thanks Moira, its really hard to get good lighting sometimes or the right angle, these are quick little guys and dive at the slightest noise or shadow.

The first shot is great, I was out there last Thursday, but my shots of the Horned Grebe pale by comparsion to yours.
