I spent an hr roaming through there this morning.
I entered via the Spit's parking lot and walked towards the marina/Erwin st bridge.
is there one part of the wet woods that's better for birding? i.e. closer to the road, further from the road?
thanks

I have found all of the woods (i.e., the part with the taller trees) pretty good. Getting out into the open closer to the road is less productive (though I've seen some great insects there).

cool.
i thought that the part directly west of the parking lot (where the tall grass is) would be the best. so i assume you go southwest of the parking lot.

Yes, just past the entrance, there is a trail that heads southwest into the woods.
