Yesterday (April 30th) at W. Side Marsh I located a Henslow's sparrow, a first for me, about 50m from the east side of the copse just off the trail. It let me approach quite close and then scurried off through the underbrush.
I also spotted my first rose-breasted grosbeaks, orchard and northern orioles of the year.
As well there was a Meadowlark singing at Bowmanville Valleys and an eastern towhee scrounging amidst the leaves.
One more time...
Hooray for Spring!
