What is a good online site for egg identification?
We were away for the weekend, and I noticed nothing unusual when we arrived home last evening. I worked last night and when I came home, I went out to water my little garden on the terrace. I discovered that my cranesbill geranium looked a little flat like somebody had been sitting in it. That's when I discovered two eggs! But no mommy. They are pretty big, chicken egg size, and creamy white so I assume they are Canada Geese eggs. I have had geese try to nest on my 9th floor terrace for the last couple of years. I have managed to prevent it though. They have not been seen around the condo for a while either, so I had assumed they have moved on to better nesting grounds.
I have been home for about an hour now and nobody has come to sit on them. So, I need some advice as to what to do with them. Should I addle them? Just remove them? Wait and see if somebody comes to sit on them or assume the nest is abandoned? I really do not want geese on my terrace.
Thanks for any help!
