Dr. Bridget Stutchbury (Silence of the Songbirds) will be speaking tomorrow (Mon 07 May) night at the St. Lawrence Centre (STLC) for the Performing Arts, 27 Front Street East (tickets $25: 416-366-7723 ; 1-800-708-6754 -- online: www.stlc.com or at the door. More info from Jen Baker. Ontario Nature, 416-444-8419, x224 / www.ontarionature.org.

I believe Aunt Margaret is going -- she's currently on the move in the East End, as are (Ashbridges Bay - Lakeshore East to Coxwell, then south to parking lot. Trail along north-south fence-line) hermit thrushes, rose-breasted grosbeaks, lots of winter wrens, a very lively brown thrasher, white-crowned sparrows (five), still quite a few rubies, a lone creeper, all the while practically tripping over white-throateds. First garter snake down at lake. Neat.
