It was a windy morning and I almost gave up in disgust before things died down and the birds came out. I was surprised by the good shorebirds (and the near total lack of songbirds). The best birds seemed to be around the little path between cells 1 and 2.

Hit up the Spit again today. Not a single warbler, sparrow or flycatcher this time (maybe it's the wind?) and far fewer cormorants.  There were more ducks, including a Canvasback and a Bufflehead. Saw a Northern Harrier, a Great Egret and a Catbird, but otherwise fewer species than last week.
