I spotted the bird around 10am from the osprey watch platform. It remained in plain sight, about 20m away, for several minutes before it grew tired of the attention and flew westwards, deeper into the marsh. A lifer for me and a treat on a day where I wasn't expecting much.

Other highlights included:

-11 gc kinglets
-2m 3f cardinals
-fox, lincoln's, white-crowned & chipping sparrows
-brown creeper
-40 yellow-rumped, 2m nashville, 1 tennessee, 1 palm, 2 orange-crowned warblers
-1 m E. towhee
-1 osprey, 1 merlin, 2 cooper's hawks
-4 hermit, 1 swainson's thrush
-7 N. Flickers

Happy brirding!
Tim
