I birded Clarieville CA this morning and found the area to be very quiet this morning, except a Red-tail hawk hanging around the main gate area and a few Bluejays at the feeders. I checked the reported spot from yesterday sighting for the LEO grouping, but none where located. The park has lots of good habitat, and spray & pellets were seen in alot of places but the woods is very thick and dark, anyone hoping to get good picture should probably try somewhere else.
There were a number of cars there before me and word must of gotten out quickly. I realize this person was probably trying to help others , but by listing the directions as he did, this will do more harm than good with all the attention the owls will get and drive them out of the area quickly.
