Last Monday, the 2nd, my husband and I went looking for Snowies out at the Holland Marsh.  Started on Canal Road, Woodchopper Lane etc, but found none.  Did eventually find one at the top end of Bathust, near the Marina.  Just curious, as the fields east of the 400 were black, no snow on them, so obviously a white bird would be able to be seen quite easily and yes, did get  caught a couple of times with the white buckets, think the field workers play a game with the birders "Oh we will leave a bucket here this year!!!!"????.  When we did eventually see one, the field had been cut, but not ploughed and so there was stubble and some snow, so the bird was not as visible, but also the stubble would attract more rodents.

Just a thought, but it was nice to see at least one.

Good birding
