Also an oriole feeder.

Hi Jim - that's awesome!  :D  I've only ever sighted one Hummingbird here in Mississauga, many years ago at Lakefront Promenade Park.

Can't wait until the Baltimore Orioles return - could sit and listen to them for hours!   8)

Oooh, right beside me. My feeders have been out and ready for a few weeks now so I am glad the are right in my area.
Have you seen an Oriole yet or did you just put the feeders out in anticipation?
Thanks for the heads-up.

Meghan,
Probably too soon for orioles and the hummer was not around today . Have stopped feeding the grackles in hopes that they will feed elsewhere, however, they are persistent and trying to get seed from the niger feeder.  Some of male goldfinches are getting their summer colour.

Yes it does seem early for hummers and we haven't seen it since the Mon. sighting. It's also a little unusual to see both juncos and hummers at the same time . The hummer and oriole feeders had a thin layer of ice this morning

I was just checking and going to ask if it was too early to put out both kinds of Feeders , I live near the "Nordheimer Ravine" (Davenport/Dupont/St.Clair West/Spadina Road)...so I guess it's OK..I haven't seen either of these Birds yet and I have had a huge problem with Squirrels (last year) on my Oriole feeders...any suggestions?  I have an 'ant moat' on the HB feeders and not bothered by squirrels just ants...lol....protein??

i've had my feeder out for the past 3 weeks. there were early sightings this year (end of March/beginning of April). no visible feeding from my feeder.

we were supposed to get southerly winds tomorrow, but looks like the forecast has been updated.
