Nice set Khalli. Is the fourth one a White-winged Scoter?  If it is... Excellent catch!

Would that "golden tear" identify this as a Tundra Swan?

Yes Palo I believe it to be a White-winged Scoter. There were two or three males swimming around and a few females. Unfortunately I didn't get a very good picture with the light being poor but here is one I believe to be a female.

Yes rcflier,  I believe the yellow would signify a Tundra swan. My first photo of one.

I have made the same assumption before on the Tundra Swan was cautioned by more experienced birders that some Trumpeters also have yellow/golden accents on their bills near their eyes.  They said that size determines whether they are Trumpeters or Tundras.  Best to check with them...Thouc in particular would be a good person to ask.

Or post it on the Bird ID forum.

Great catches all around.  Nice pics, I like the commentary.   :D
