Thanks Joe,
I used the sigma 100-300mm f/4 + the sigma 1.4 tele-converter on these. I find it A LOT faster focusing than my Nikon 300mm f/4 and perfect for birds in flight. Even with the tele on it there is no difference in focus speed or IQ, its a very sharp lens. The body is a D1H. I use it because of its amazingly high & smooth ISO. ISO 640 on the D1H is like a D200's ISO 200, but I have a Nikon D3 coming soon so It will be my back up body :)
All the pics I posted are with the D1H.
