Evening at the humber and the setting sun on Sept. 23rd made for great lighting!
Northern Shoveler
Cormorant
Head on CA goose Oct. 3rd evening
And an evening on Oct. 6th, only a few mallards to be seen,

Thanks Joe,
I used the sigma 100-300mm f/4 + the sigma 1.4 tele-converter on these. I find it A LOT faster focusing than my Nikon 300mm f/4 and perfect for birds in flight. Even with the tele on it there is no difference in focus speed or IQ, its a very sharp lens. The body is a D1H. I use it because of its amazingly high & smooth ISO. ISO 640 on the D1H is like a D200's ISO 200, but I have a Nikon D3 coming soon so It will be my back up body
All the pics I posted are with the D1H.
