Hey!!
Just a quik question.. I am sending my lens to "Gentec international" tomorrow for servicing
. They distribute and support "Sigma lenses" in Canada.
Has anyone dealt with them? Any issues ? good or bad.
Thanx..
Napper
P.s. If your focus motor starts squealing get it serviced, don't wait like the big procrastinator that I am.

f've used them a few times, for warranty repairs, and also for out-of-warranty repairs (broke my 120-300/2.8 in half).
They got things done very quickly and cheaply. EX lenses get very good service, usually 48hr turnaround.

I was sent to Gentec a couple of years ago for a tripod repair. The people I dealt with were very accommodating and really knew their stuff. Your lens should be in good hands!

Ahhh all is well
Got my baby back today, found it Nicely packaged sitting on the couch when I got home.
working like new..
It took a bit of time, they had to back order a "HSM rotor" and "PCB UNIT" main card I guess..
cost $ 141.00 including shipping home..
