To my joy and excitement the Great Blue Heron that frequents the Brickworks in Toronto has returned, appearently he was spotted last Sunday, today I found him now I am not sure of course if it is the same one from last year but nevertheless there is a Great Blue Heron in the Brickworks again lol, feel free to check out thse pics although the lighting was rather overcast this morning, cheers!

Hi Sue no he did not show up but I did get some half descent shots of a Red-Tailed Hawk see the links below...ps thanks for the comments the Great Blue is truly great!!

Colin, re: fourth photo of Great Blue Heron ... looks like he's doing the "Hokey Pokey" dance (put your left wing in ...)   :lol:   hehe.  Sorry, I'm warped!  

It's truly a beautiful and my favourite photo.  

Great hawk pix.  I especially like the first photo.

Still waiting for the Blue Heron to show up at Grenadier Pond, High Park.  Should be any day now.  He was spotted for about a week in early January but then was a no-show.  Why he was there during one of the coldest weeks on the winter was very odd.  If anyone spots him in Grenadier Pond, please let me know.  (Usually, there are three of them actually).
