Having never been birding in Mississauga before, I went yesterday to some of the places mentioned by Jo-Anne in her post "a wonderful weekend of birding in Mississauga" Found some great places to walk such as Meadowvale Conservation Area, but not as many bird sitings as I'd hoped for.
Rattray Marsh also a great walk, but saw just a few redwings, a pair of cardinals and a golden crowned kinglet.
I had better luck at Timothy Street Park where I saw a red tailed hawk in a tree just at the entrance of the cemetery and a brown bird about the size of a robin-some kind of thrush maybe.
Thanks for all the great suggestions Jo-Anne-I will definitely go back when there are less people about and maybe more birds.
I would like to post a photo of the hawk and the brown thrush like bird, but am still not sure of the correct way to do it. Are there easy instructions somewhere?
Thanks
Sue
